In the work of the II International Agro-technological Conference «AgroHighTech – XXI», held by the Russian Grain Union together with Schyolkovo Agrochim and Soyuzrossakhar, with a support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and Administration of Voronezh Region on March 19-21, 2013 in Voronezh (Russia) took part more than 250 representatives from 7 countries.

General sponsorship of the conference was provided by Swiss company Buhler, sponsorship by Ingosstrakh Insurance Company, Agroindustrial Corporation AST Company M, KWS RUS, Bayer, Voronezhselmash, PharmBioMed and BASF.

Within the conference agenda such issues as use of modern technology in crop production, main directions of technological modernization and introduction of innovations in the process of agricultural production were discussed.

The first day of conference work started with the grand opening of the event by the organizer President of the Russian Grain Union Arkady Zlochevskiy and the Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexey Gordeev. In his speech the Governor greeted the conference participants and presented the results of pro-active policies to support agriculture in the region, plans for the future and the state of the agricultural sector in the area!

The first conference session was continued by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Yuriev who presented new approaches to the implementation of the state program of agricultural development up to 2020.

First session was continued by the plenary session covering the topic State and agricultural sector: trends, scales and role in providing technological modernization, where together with Dmitry Yuriev and Arkady Zlochevskiy took part Deputy Prime Minister of Voronezh Region, Head of the Agrarian Policy Department Anatoly Spivakov and General partner of the Conference, General Director of Schyolkovo Agrochim Salis Karakotov.

Continuing the glorious tradition, the session was moderated by the President ofthe Agro-industrial Union of Kuban, Chairman of Krasnodar regional branch of the All-Russian public organization Russian Agrarian Movement Evgeny Gromyko.

Second conference session was dedicated to the problems of technological modernization, innovations and competitiveness of production. The session was opened by Ralf Thomann, Head of the Department Food Production Technologies, Grain Processing Institute of Nuthetal, Germany. In his report Dr. Thomann told about capabilities of plant proteins. The session was continued by Vice President, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Middle East International Plant Nutrition Institute Svetlana Ivanova.

Once again shared his skill and experience General Director of Schyolkovo Agrochim Salis Karakotov, Doctor of Science in Chemistry, Corresponding member of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Russia, Mr. Karakotov indicated in his report the problem of cultivation technology of grain and leguminous crops, ways of innovative development. An interesting speech about the Rye belt of Russia by Irina Sinyuts, Country Manager Cereals, KWS RUS closed the session.

The first day was continued by the third session covering the topic Technological modernization how to get maximum revenue, which was in detail reflected in the speech of Roman Ratnikov, Head of Crop Production Department, Chief Agronomist of EkoNiva Group of companies.

After that Kirill Kalakoutskiy, Head of Strategic Marketing Department, NCIS, Bayer made a report on the chemical plant protection products as a reserve in crop intensification and new solutions for the protection of cereals, maize and rape seeds available in 2013. Head of Sales Department of Pharmbiomedservis, LLC Ksenia Nefedova covered the company experience in biological crop protection products sphere.

Global wheat market trends were covered in the speech of Peer Eftimov, General Director of Strube Rus. The final performance of the first day of the conference was the report of the Director of the Hungarian Woodstock Ltd. Gabor Marosi about innovations in maize-breeding.

The second day of the conference AgroHighTech XXI continued by the session New storage and processing technologies for grain and oilseed crops how to reduce losses and increase revenue. The importance of post-harvest grain logistics echoed in his speech Chairman of the Directors' Board of Voronezhselmash Grigory Chuyko. Basic grain cleaning equipment and technology for undermining grain was covered in the report of Sales Manager of a Separate Subdivision of Buhler AG (Switzerland) Vladimir Malunin, after which he was formally presented with the conference sponsor certificate.

The baton was picked up by General Director of Unigrain Alexey Dyumulen who vividly expressed the current state of the processing industry in Russia, prospects for its development by a particular example.

Without any break, the session moderator Vice-president of the Russian Grain Union Alexander Korbut invited to the presidium beautiful ladies the participants of the fifth session of the conference Financing for development. How to attract investment and to hedge risks? Deputy General Director of Rosagroleasing Natalya Zudina and Head of Agrarian insurance management of Ingosstrakh OJSIC Delyara Sangadzhieva. In her speech Natalya Zudina told the participants about the main results and future directions of the work of Rosagroleasing in the sphere of technical and technological modernization of agriculture. Practice of drought insurance risks in Russia was clearly reflected in the report to Delyara Sangadzhieva.

Summary of the conference work was entrusted to the participants of the round table devoted to grain market in the new season including President of the Russian Grain Union Arkady Zlochevskiy, General Director of ProZerno Vladimir Petrichenko, General Director of Schyolkovo Agrochim Salis Karakotov, Deputy Chairman of Soyuzrossakhar Sergey Mironov, who visually presented main trends of the sugar market.

At the round table such issues were discussed as first crop forecast 2013, the script for grain market development before the new grain year starts, the outcomes of 2012/2013 grain year, grain prices in the new season and others.

The second conference day continued by the enthralling trip to Betagran Ramon plant guided by the owner of the plant, General Director of Schyolkovo Agrochim Salis Karakotov. He told the participants about all the nuances of sugar-coated seeds production, showed the possibilities of new equipment and created a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere!

II International Agro-technological Conference AgroHighTech XXI finished on March 21 by the glorious gala-dinner party where traditionally organizers awarded the conference sponsors with the certificates!
