took place VIII International Grain Trading Conference «Global Grain Outlook 2014» in Antalya, Turkey
The Conference was visited by more than 150 representatives from 17 countries including Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Italy, India, USA, Great Britain, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Egypt, UAE, Pakistan, Jordan, Tunisia and other countries.
General sponsorship was provided by the United Grain Company, sponsorship – by Grain Terminal «KSK» and AMBAR.
Within the conference agenda there were analyzed the current state and prospects of the situation development at the world grain market, primarily wheat. Representatives of the world’s leading grain exporters presented in their reports estimates of production and the potential of grain exports to foreign countries, paying particular attention to Turkey. This country over the past two years has become one of the main buyers of Russian grain, resulting in the development of strong trade relations between Turkey and Russia.

First session «Development prospects and effective mechanisms of Russian-Turkish cooperation at grain and oilseeds markets. New challenges-new opportunities» was opened by Naki Karaaslan, Chairman of the Governing Board, RTIB who emphasized the importance of firm Russian-Turkish relationship in the area of Russian grain export to the Turkish market.
The session was continued by the report of Alexander Fomin, Chairman of the expert board, Agrarian Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, where he outlined the possibilities of Russian-Turkish relationships.

President of the Russian Grain Union Arkady Zlochevskiy told the Conference participants about development prospects and effective mechanisms of Russian-Turkish cooperation at grain and oilseeds markets.
Final report was made by First Deputy General Director of the United Grain Company Andrey Gormakh.

The second Conference session was totally dedicated to the situation at the world and Turkish grain and oilseeds markets. Current situation, prospects and trends for the new season at the global grain and oilseeds markets were covered by Abdolreza Abbassian, FAO Senior Economist and Secretary of Agricultural Market Information System (AMIS). Vladimir Petrichenko, General Director of ProZerno continued with the report on the situation at the Black Sea grain and oilseeds markets. Finally Serdar Gundogdu, Deputy Import Manager of ULUSOY Flour Company outlined major trends at the Turkish grain market.

In the final session of the first Conference day «Black Sea grain at the Mediterranean market in 2014/15» also took part First Deputy General Director of Rusagrotrans Oleg Rogachev and Head of Project management office of the United Grain Company Mikhail Mezentsev, who presented the construction of the oil filler terminal in the port of Novorossiysk.

Particular interest among the Conference participants caused the forth Conference session dedicated to grain quality aspects. Reports were made by Cem Orhan, Operations Manager of SGS (Turkey), Vitaly Smirnov, Head of the Agricultural Products of Inspectorate R and Yury Chistyakov, Adviser of Centre for Grain Quality Assurance.
Legal aspects of grain trade, practice of resolving disputes between parties covered Aminat Suleymanova, Managing partner of AGA Partners Law Firm.



The Conference ended with the festive gala-dinner party with the traditional awarding of the Conference sponsors the certificates of the Russian Grain Union.
