XVIII International Grain Round has commenced its work in the evening of June 06 with the welcoming cocktail, where gorgeous palette of wines of Kuban Vino was presented.

Traditionally International Grain Round «Grain Market – yesterday, today, tomorrow» was solemnly opened by the President of the Russian Grain Union Arkady Zlochevskiy. Sergey Andreev - Director of Department on work with large corporate clients of JSC «Alfa-Bank» also adressed the audience.
The round was proceeded with the speech of Vice-President of the Russian Grain Union Alexander Korbut, floor was then given to the Russian economist, partner at Matrix Capital - Evgeny Gavrilenkov, who revealed to the participants the current situation in macroeconomics.
Konstantin Evstyukhin, Managing Director for non-financial support of JSC Russian Export Center, told the participants about the possibilities of state support for promoting products on foreign markets. He also spoke about forthcoming joint event of the Russian Grain Union and the Russian Export Center in Singapore. Arkady Zlochevskiy joined the talk expressing his position regarding state support.
Later the report was made by Deputy Chairman of Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation for the development of agriculture, member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Director of CJSC «State Farm of Lenin» Pavel Grudinin.
The second session was dedicated to technologies, loans, investments, trade financing, risk management. Reports were made by such speakers as: Sergey Andreev - Director of Department on work with large corporate clients of JSC «Alfa-Bank», Pavel Ryazanov - Director of Sales of settlement business products JSC «Alfa-Bank», Salis Karakotov - General Director of JSC «Schyolkovo Agrochim», Alexey Shveytsov - Commercial Director of LLC «Kombaynovy Zavod» Rostselmash», Oleg Rogachev - Vice-president for corporate communications at LLC«RusTransCom», Vyacheslav Spirov - Director of Corporate Business Department of JSC «Sberbank Leasing» and Kristo Ristikivi - General Manager of GrECo JLT Baltic from Estonia.
Special interest was aroused by workshops of JSC «Schyolkovo Agrochim» and PJSC «Sberbank».
Salis Karakotov moderated the workshop of JSC «Schyolkovo Agrochim». Together with Irina Burya, leading research consultant of the Krasnodar Representative Office of «Schelkovo Agrohim» and Ms.Kasyanova, senior research consultant of the Krasnodar Representative Office of «Schelkovo Agrohim» he spoke about the management of the vegetation of grain crops and soybeans.
In the next room took place workshop of Sberbank. Participants actively discussed what does Sberbank pay attention to when assessing risks on the Russian grain market; how changes in the system of agricultural subsidizing have affected Sberbank’s lending; what are the possibilities for financing and many other issues. Speakers of the workshop were: Anna Morina - Senior Analyst, Director, Sberbank CIB JSC, Evgenia Minakova - Specialist on commodity risk management, Sberbank CIB JSC, Nikolay Dovganevich - Chief Sales Specialist, PJSC Sberbank.
After the workshop, guests were offered cocktail reception from PJSC «Sberbank».
All exhibitors of the Round were awarded with the Russian Grain Union certificates. The evening continued with football, water polo, table tennis and enjoyable conversations.

The third session «New crop year - results of the last season and trends of development of the agri food sector and grain market» began with the presentation by Maria Kolobova - Senior Research Analyst at McKinsey & Company about global trend on the grain market and opportunities for Russia. Another world expert joined the talk - Andrei Agapi, Senior Grains Analyst at S&P Global Platts.
Daron Hoffman, Director of the Russian representation of «COFCO» spoke about the potential and opportunities of Russian grain in China. Representatives of Kazakhstan and Ukraine continued the presentations: Viktor Aslanov - Director of the research office «Grain&Oilseeds.Kazakhstan» and Andrey Druzyaka - Board Member of ZERNO UA.
In the conclusion of the business part of the Round, a panel discussion took place with leading experts of the Russian grain market. The forecasts were presented by Dmitry Rylko - General Director of IKAR, Vladimir Petrichenko - General Director of LLC «ProZerno», Igor Pavensky - Director of Strategic Marketing Department of CJSC «Rusagrotrans», Arkady Zlochevskiy - President of the Russian Grain Union.
Report was also presented by Yulia Koroleva - Director of FSFI «Federal Centre of Quality and Safety Assurance for Grain and Grain products».
The highlight of the XVIII International Grain Round became the round table discussion of the principles of grain trade under the conditions provided by the Charter in the sphere of circulation of agricultural products. The Round Table was organized by the National Association of Exporters of Agricultural Products. Record number of the participants gathered in the hall. Among speakers: Varvara Burlevich - Head of the Department for Tax Risk Analysis and Planning of Tax Inspections of the Control Department of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, Nikolai Demyanov - Director of Marketing Department of the International Grain Company, Vasily Kokhan - Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service for the Krasnodar Territory, Irina Aleksandrova - representative of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for the Rostov region, Mr. Novoseletsky - representative of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory, Marina Turyanskaya - Commercial Director at Trade House «RIF». The participants actively discussed with government officials issues of joining the Charter.
The XVIII International Grain Round was closed with the gala-dinner with the traditional awarding of the Sponsors of the conference with diplomas of the Russian Grain Union and lottery prize drawing sponsored by the company LLC «Kuban-Vino».
