V International Grain Trading Conference
The Conference was visited by more than 300 participants from 41 countries worldwide including Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Algeria, Bulgaria, Greece, Egypt, Jordan, Italy, Spain, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Turkey.
Among Conference speakers were Leading expert of the International Grains Council Darren Cooper, Regional manager of Buhler Adrian Spahr, General Director of Cargill Grains & Oilseeds Russia Rob Hansen. Experts from Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Tunisia, Syria and Egypt presented their reports on domestic production and grain export, quality of imported grain, flour market development.
Since 2006, the Conference has become the most inclusive platform for dialogue between grain business leaders of the Black Sea, EU, Middle East and North Africa. North Africa and the Middle East are the largest consumers of wheat exported from Black Sea countries. The target audience of this Conference consists of traders, representatives of grain processing companies, financial institutions, logistics, inspection and fumigation companies, manufacturers of mill equipment and agricultural holdings.
The main topics of discussion covered prospects of world grain trade, main trends of industry development, issues of grain quality as well as new challenges to grain markets.
